Join author of the ground-breaking book Afrikan Martial Arts: Discovering the Warrior Within and Master Instructor, Balogun Oyabode Abeegunde – assisted by the Full Instructors and students of the Afrikan Martial Arts Institute – in learning the Traditional Afrikan Martial Arts System™ of Egbe Ogun, a holistic system of techniques and principles from Wolof Laamb, Yoruba Ijakadi and Mandinka Kilijawaaro.

These dynamic, interactive and exciting lectures teach students effective and efficient methods of self-defense, as well as traditional Afrikan martial principles and strategies.

Traditional Afrikan martial arts stress common sense, efficiency, and improvisation in the application of self-defense and combat techniques. Students learn to quickly and effectively defend themselves against strikes, chokes, throws, bear-hugs and headlocks, attacks while they are prone on the ground, knives, clubs and firearms. Students also learn to apply powerful strikes, throws, chokes, joint-locks and weapon disarms.

Don’t be a victim! Discover the Warrior Within!!
