AFRIKAN MARTIAL ARTS and SCIENCES

MARTIAL ARTS & SCIENCES OF AFRIKA & THE DIASPORA!

I've been too busy of late to do any significant training. Most of what I've done has been spontaneous and brief. I have been doing a lot of close quarter stuff. This is mostly been WC/CT, with a little CLF. I haven't done much Capoeira, as I'm holding off for the start of my training with a new Capoeira group, whose principle focus is self-defense.

Today I trained on my dummy (training apparatus). I also did some stick fighting. This was Kali, Naboot, and Sbayt Nkht stick (a CLF/Kalenda/Kali hybrid). I applied a blocking technique from M. Perry's Kali system to the Sbayt Nkht stick style. This reduced exposure of the hands to incoming strikes.
