The Dahomey Female Warriors struck fear into the hearts of many colonizing persons who dared to cross the line. Hand to hand - these women were all about the combat! The legacy they left has been tucked away by many males who would prefer to just ...

About Me:
Dr. Germon “Mama G” Miller is a first generation Vita Saana Mwalimu (Instructor) under the direct tutelage of Mwanzo Umeme Mpingo, the founder of Afrikan martial sciences here in the states. She was the first and only woman to complete the original VS Ascension (Ranking) Test. She maintains the position of an "Askari” (Enforcer) with VS. She established the AKERU AFrikan Discipline Sciences System in 1987 after having traveled extensively capturing over 1700 trophies, 2 World Titles, 4 World Gold Medals in fighting, self-defense, forms and weapons. Most recently she has won 6 Black Belt Grand Championships in weapons against men half her age between 2006 and 2008.

Dr. Miller has been mentored by Expert Masters in their field such as Ancestor Baba Kweme Ishangi and Grand Patriarch Peter Urban. With humble pride, she is the first woman to represent the Afrikan Martial Arts at the International level through seminars and competition. Her Ph.D. is in Behavioral Sciences and she is a certified international crisis educator specializing in juvenile crew arbitration and women urban safety courses. She is the first and only female board member of the 3 top World Martial Arts Association as a 10th Degree Grandmaster and proudly serves as a consultant authority in the Afrikan Sciences among these Asian Stylists internationally. This also included being the only woman invited as a panelist for the first World Afrikan Martial Arts Conference hosted by Ahati Kilindi in October, 2007.

Most recently she completed her research linking the N'golo from the country of Angola directly to Capoeira in the country of Brazil. Dr. Miller received a letter of recognition from the Ambassador of Angola specifically for these efforts centering around the acknowledgement of General/Queen N'zinga as a military genius of Angola - who held the Portuguese at bay for over 33 years on the battlefield. Dr. Miller looks forward to continue to be a torchbearer for the Afrikan Martial Sciences assisting all those who truly wish to incorporate this knowledge into their daily lives. Yet the miracle from the Creator is that she accomplished all of this while surviving domestic abuse/attempted murder and the single parenting of two sons into adulthood. Truly the Afrikan Discipline Sciences has been her way of life - Self-preservation through Self-determination!
